In general, German tuners aren’t known for their restraint in the visual department and Anderson Germany’s latest take on the Porsche Panamera Turbo is no exception to the rule.

If you’re looking for a subtle makeover, you may as well skip this post altogether because Anderson Germany has gone wild with its cosmetic proposal. The tuning firm starts by wrapping the Panamera sports saloon in a matte red vinyl cover.

Anderson Germany then adds a bodykit comprising of an exposed carbon fiber bonnet and rear hatch, while the same materials make an appearance on the exterior mirrors.

A new front bumper with a gaping grille, side air vents, rocker panels, a different rear bumper with Audi R8-like air outlets and a diffusor, plus tinted lights and a rear wing are also included in the package.

The final touch is a set of black 22-inch alloy wheels with a red outer rim shod in tires size 265/30 up front and 295/25 at the rear complete the exterior makeover.

Inside, we find quilted black leather and red piping adorning the new sport bucket seats, door panels and parts of the dashboard and steering wheel, Alcantara headliner and tons of decorative carbon fiber, plus a new infotainment system.

Anderson Germany completes the tune with a 40mm lower suspension and an engine kit that includes an ECU upgrade and a custom exhaust system to boost the Turbo model’s V8 engine to 585-horses.

Understandably, all eyes at Porsche’s Frankfurt auto show stand will be turned towards the spanking new 911 Carrera and Carrera S Coupes, but the Germans will also celebrate the first public outing of their diesel-powered Panamera, details of which were announced earlier this year.

The most fuel-efficient variant of the Panamera sports sedan to date is fitted with an Audi-sourced 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 common-rail diesel pumping out 250-horsepowerand a brawny maximum torque of 550Nm (406 lb-ft). Power is channeled to the rear wheels through an eight-speed auto.

While the Panamera Diesel can dash from zero to 100 km/h (62mph) in a zippy 6.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 242km/h (150 mph), what sets it apart from the other members of Porsche’s family is its low fuel consumption.

When fitted with standard tires, the diesel model returns a combined fuel economy of 6.5 lt/100 km (36.2mpg US or 43.5mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 172 g/km CO2, while these numbers drop to 6.3 lt/100 km (equal to 37.3mpg US or 44.8mpg UK) and 167 g/km CO2 respectively, when opted with low rolling resistance tires.

Next month’s 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany will stage the world premiere ofTechart’s second batch of styling and performance modifications for the new generation of the Cayenne.

Following the introduction of the excessive Cayenne Magnum in Geneva earlier this year, the renowned Porsche tuning firm has developed a more subtle design suite named Aerodynamic Kit I as well as new performance kit for the Turbo version called TA 058/T2.

The Aerodynamic Kit I comprises of a three-piece front spoiler, a new LED daytime unit combines daytime running light, side lighting, parking lighting and turn signal lights in one common housing, side skirts, wheel arch surrounds, a styling roof spoiler and a rear apron / diffuser.

Techart’s dual tail pipes on either side of the bumper and a variety of alloy wheel designs in sizes from 20- to 23-inches complete the exterior makeover.

The company will also satisfy customers looking to improve the Cayenne’s performance. For the diesel model, Techart’s kit adds 40HP and 70Nm (51.6 lb-ft) of torque allowing the Cayenne to accelerate to 100 km/h (62mph) from standstill in 7.2 seconds and reach 160 km/h (100mph) in 18.9 seconds.

The firm’s TA 058/T1 performance kit for the Turbo version of the Cayenne bumps output to 560HP and 780Nm (575.2 lb-ft) and improves accelerating to 100 km/h and 160 km/h to 4.4 and 9.9 seconds respectively.

At the Frankfurt Show, Techart will reveal a second performance package for the Turbo model, the TA 058/2 that pushes output to an outrageous 600HP and upwards of 900Nm (663.8 lb-ft) of peak torque.

The next iteration of the 911 series, which carries the internal codename 991, has grown is size featuring a 100mm longer (3.94-inches) wheelbase for improved stability on the road and of course, increased passenger space, while sporting shorter front and rear overhangs.

The German firm’s engineers made liberal use of lightweight materials on the body and the new platform and as a result, weight had been reduced by up to 45 kg or 99.2 pounds, depending on the model.

We can also confirm the engine specs for the standard Carrera that is powered by a new 3.4-liter flat-six producing 350-horses and the Carrera S that gets a revised 3.8-liter unit developing 400-horses.

The two launch models can be equipped with world’s first seven-speed manual gearbox or Porsche’s familiar PDK double-clutch automatic transmission.

The 911 Carrera with the PDK transmission completes the 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint in 4.6 seconds (4.4 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono Pack), while the Carrera S with PDK, in 4.3 seconds (4.1 seconds with the Sport Chrono Pack).

The new models are not only slightly faster than their predecessors but also more fuel efficient with the 911 Carrera PDK returning a combined fuel economy of 8.2lt/100km (28.6mpg US or 34.4mpg UK) on the European driving cycle, and the Carrera S PDK, 8.7lt/100km (27.0mpg US or 32.4mpg UK).

Porsche plans on doubling its sales totals to 200,000 units by 2018, and utility vehicles will be a big part of that volume push. In fact, the Cayenne is already the best-selling Porsche, and that likely won’t change any time soon.

Automotive News reports that Porsche plans to increase Cayenne production by 10 percent this year and 20 percent in 2012 to help satiate demand. The recently revamped utility vehicle is in demand around the world, and in China buyers have to wait 12 months for the chance to own a Cayenne. Porsche reportedly wants to cut that wait time in half for next year.

The sales success of the Cayenne is helping the entire Porsche lineup, as the German automaker has seen its first half orders increase by 26 percent to 65,660 units. Porsche also expects big things from thePanamera, with an expected 28,000 units leaving dealer lots in 2011.
